breakfast oatmeal 3 waysBreakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I’m sure everybody in the world feels the same way (based purely on my own bias). Sometimes I go to bed thinking about what I’ll eat for breakfast the next morning. I’m not kidding. But other times I wake up and think, “Crap, I want oatmeal…but how!?” And then I give it up and grab a banana and end up starving at work because I couldn’t figure out how to whip up a tasty oatmeal number.

That’s why I have no compiled three different ways using three ingredients or less to create a delicious, hearty oatmeal-y breakfast treat.

Peanut butter & banana

breakfast oatmeal 3 waysbreakfast oatmeal 3 waysBasically, this is my favorite sandwich ever (if you haven’t tried it, you have to!) and tastes equally delectable on oatmeal. A banana + peanut butter + oats. Boom. Breakfast.

Apple cinnamon

breakfast oatmeal 3 ways breakfast oatmeal 3 waysI used to have something similar to this when I was a kid, in those little freeze-dried packets that (in retrospect) were practically candy. Well this is the “adult” version of that. Red apple + Cinnamon + Oats. You can also sub out the fresh apple for dried apple slices, though I will say I appreciated the added juiciness.

Banana & honey

breakfast oatmeal 3 ways breakfast oatmeal 3 waysAnother amaze sandwich is honey and banana. I’m sure this isn’t very low in sugar, BUT just be sure not to add too much honey and I don’t think you can go too wrong (honey has it’s benefits too!). Honey + Cinnamon + Banana + Oats.
